No one can prepare you for a story like Dwayne’s. And while some may read this and think we just report such tragedies and then turn a blind eye, you are far from the truth. We bring awareness, which is essential, so others can see that even when a dog like Dwayne faces so much pain, he can still thrive. He can still make a wonderful pet and bring happiness to a family.

Dwayne’s story begins with a cruel owner who -for whatever reason- felt it was appropriate to bound his muzzle with wire. Dwayne then ran away or was dumped by the vicious monster who was supposed to be taking care of him, where he then lived on the streets. He fought every day to fend for himself.

Instead of helping Dwayne, local kids threw rocks at him and poured boiling water onto his body. They laughed at him and couldn’t care less that he was hungry and in pain.

But Dwayne continued to fight to survive. Thankfully, after all his trauma and even being attacked by other dogs, he was rescued and brought back to the states where he’s receiving medical care for his wounds.

As you will see in the video below, despite the cruel life he has lived, Dwayne is a docile dog. His spirit may be broken, but he is not. He will make a wonderful companion and it’s rumored that he already found his forever home.
